Injuries are grouped on basis of cause and not on type of injury as is done in the ICD-10 classification. Injuries are distinguished into injuries caused by accidents and intentional self-harm (such as suicide attempt). Complications of medical and surgical care are left out of consideration.
Suicide (attempt) has already been implemented as an EC Health Indicator data presentation.
